OTOC Australia grew from a small onsite electrical contractor to a business providing complete infrastructure solutions throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.
Veris Managing Director, Adam Lamond, founded Ocean to Outback Electrical in 2003 after recognising a need for a “one-stop-shop” that could set up remote facilities from conception to completion. After a sustained period of hard work, change and tremendous growth, Ocean to Outback Contracting (OTOC) was established in 2008.
The next few years saw the company continue to evolve and form additional business functions such as construction services and communications. The business was formally renamed OTOC Australia in 2011.
In October 2011 OTOC Limited listed on the ASX through a merger with Emerson Stewart Group Limited, bringing together OTOC Australia and Whelans Australia, a Surveying and Town Planning company.
OTOC Limited utilised the strength of OTOC Australia to undertake a diversification strategy, from the volatile resources market, to Surveying and Town Planning. In November 2016 OTOC Limited rebranded to become Veris.
During this time OTOC Australia also evolved into new markets, including renewable energy and the provision of communications services.
This latter capability, of communication and technology solutions has continued to evolve at pace. With a proven track record of successful delivery with significant long-term clients across resource and retail markets the timing was right to create a new, standalone business – Aqura Technologies.
Aqura Technologies provides specialist information technology, communications, managed services, remote operations and consulting to clients across Australia and New Zealand.
