What is GPON?

GPON is a short for Gigabit Passive Optical Network which utilises Fibre Optic to create a point to multi-point network. It utilises splitters to deliver to multiple endpoints from one single feeding fibre. The technology is very versatile and offers significant speeds and data is encrypted across the network.  GPON Is a feature Aqura’s Content Access Network.

 

What does LTE stand for?

LTE stands for Long-Term Evolution which is a standard for wireless data communications. Most commonly associated with 4G, LTE is a high-speed wireless broadband standard aligned to the 3GPP standards. Most people know 4G LTE, but LTE is the backbone of 5G. Aqura delivers Private LTE networks for both 4G and 5G.
