Aqura Announces Industrial 4G/LTE Partnering Agreement

Aqura Technologies is pleased to announce its new Industrial 4G/LTE Partnering Agreement with Comms International /TecWise (“CI/TecWise”).

The partnering agreement was created to support the CI/TecWise customer base across Latin America, Africa and select parts of Europe, as well as some of its Vendor Partners with a structured and simplified approach to 4G/LTE based wireless connectivity; designed, delivered, and supported correctly to ensure business critical industrial communications and network access for Heavy Industries across Surface, Underground and Autonomous mining applications.

Aqura offers a broad suite of vendor agnostic communications solutions which are significant enablers of high performance in modern, digitally driven enterprises. Aqura is recognised as an industry innovator having delivered Private 4G LTE networks since 2016 across major operations and was the first to deliver 4G LTE underground in Australia in 2017. In 2018, the Aqura Autonomous Rapid Communications (ARC) platform was created and has received industry awards for its innovative approach to remote communications.

Comms International supports its Mining, Oil/Gas as well as the GeoEnvironmental & Security sectors clients in reaching specific operational outcomes through ICT Advisory Services, System Integration and Properly Designed communications infrastructure; Delivered and Supported to ensure Solution integrity and Sustainability since 1997.

The agreement marries Aqura’s in-house engineering expertise to provide a true End-to-End, Fit-For-Purpose, Safe and carrier-grade solution design with CI/TecWise’s ICT Advisory Services, System Integration experience, Multinational footprint and Relationship base.

This joint offering provides a unique, vendor agnostic Private 4G/LTE solution that can be delivered and supported in a way that ensures solution integrity and sustainability for enterprises across the globe. Aqura’s Australian home market has some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated mining operations and the experience gained in working in this demanding environment has created unique skillsets, which CI/TecWise is expanding and facilitating beyond the borders of Australia.

As CI/TecWise deploys and supports a range of Mining/Oil/Gas/GeoEnvironmental relevant Technologies such as Collision Avoidance, Equipment Simulation, GeoEnvironmental monitoring, Fleet Management Systems, Autonomous Haulage Visualisation systems, Industrial IoT; a properly designed 4G/LTE network supports their clients’ complete eco-system.

“Our clients need a simplified, locally adjusted and sustainable approach to Industrial 4G/LTE. Aqura’s approach is based on a full in-house model that spans hard-to-find Radio Frequency and Network technology engineers, through to highly experienced project managers who have themselves delivered many projects in highly challenging environments. At CI/TecWise we are focused on reaching a specific operational outcome with and for our clients, safely and sustainably; correctly designed comms infrastructure is a critical part of that equation.” – Omar Garzedin, GarCI/Tecwise Latin American Director.

Alan Seery, Aqura Chief Technology Officer, stated that future success for resource operations will be from being able to connect the significant volumes of data generated in the field to the platforms processing it in near real-time to add instant value to the organisation’s activities.

“It is great to be working with Comms International to expand awareness of the importance of the edge-network in enabling the digitally-driven operations of the future,” said Alan. “Our learnings and experience in high-performance connectivity for Tier 1 global operators will be highly complementary to the needs of Comms International customers and we look forward to expanding our relationship and adding value where we can.”
